1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy protects My Law Tools, our users, our systems and third parties.

You must comply with this policy when using our website, tools, plugins, dashboards, subscriptions and services.

2. Prohibited use

You must not use our tools to:

  • break the law;
  • breach court orders, regulatory duties, professional duties or confidentiality obligations;
  • upload or process material you have no right to use;
  • create, alter, conceal, destroy, misrepresent or falsify evidence unlawfully;
  • harass, threaten, defame, abuse, discriminate against or harm others;
  • process illegal, exploitative or harmful content;
  • upload malware, viruses, spyware, ransomware, malicious code or corrupted files;
  • attack, overload, scrape, probe, scan or interfere with systems;
  • bypass security, payment, subscription, tier, account or usage limits;
  • reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense or exploit our software;
  • access another user’s account or data without permission;
  • use automated scripts, bots or crawlers without permission;
  • remove branding or notices where your plan does not allow it;
  • misuse AI, OCR, redaction or document tools in a way that creates legal, professional, regulatory or security risk.

3. Legal and professional use

If you are a solicitor, barrister, legal executive, paralegal, regulated firm, professional adviser or person working with client documents, you must ensure your use complies with applicable professional duties.

You remain responsible for client confidentiality, privilege, data protection, supervision, competence, file checking, court compliance, deadline checking and final approval.

4. Fair usage

We may apply fair usage limits to protect performance, security and availability.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that create excessive load, unusual traffic, suspected abuse, security risk or disproportionate support burden.

5. User content

You are responsible for all files, documents, text, images, logos, branding, templates, data and other content that you upload, process, generate, store, submit or use through our tools.

You must not upload or process anything unlawful, harmful, infringing, malicious, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent or prohibited.

6. Security

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users’ accounts, restricted areas, payment features, subscription controls, source code, databases or infrastructure.

You must keep your account credentials secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.

7. Enforcement

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe this policy has been breached.

We may report unlawful activity to relevant authorities where appropriate.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the website or tools after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
